Our Ugandan Maliba is a real team favourite! At the moment, we use in our Staveley café to make espresso drinks, but it’s also popular with our customers using French Press, Stovetop, and V60 to name a few. This coffee’s full-bodied mouth-feel and flavours of sweet honey, boozy figs, and orange are perfect for the festive season – a great Christmas morning crowd pleaser. You can find out more about our Maliba here. Pair it with a drizzle of Wild & Fruitful honey on toast or porridge for a delicious start to the day. Wild & Fruitful are another Lake District local, producing small batch preserves and honey. This hamper also includes their Original Roast peanut butter. Chutney included in this hamper comes from Cumbrian company Claire’s Handmade. Claire’s Handmade have won various ‘Great Taste Awards’, ‘Best Overall Preserve in the North West’ and the ‘Lake District Life Food Heroes Award’ – and we use their chutneys in our café sarnies to give them some flavour oomph! We think that they’d go great with a post-tea cheeseboard, and you can find some pairings here. Add some Silver & Green olives for a proper treat – they’re based in Penrith but make you feel like you’re in the Med! Giuliano’s olive oils from southern Sicily will bump up any meal or cheeseboard too. Their organic handpicked olives are cold pressed, resulting in oil of the most impressive quality and flavour.
Finally, our hamper includes a bag of Kokoa Collection’s single origin hot chocolate. So you can get the rich creamy hot chocolate we offer in our café whilst cosy at home!
