Description
An organically grown, naturally pulped and dried bean, cultivated by a collection of micro-lot growers on the slopes of the Shanta Golba mountain, in the Sidamo province of Ethiopa. The coffee here is grown in the shade of the native trees, such as the False Banana and Eucalyptus, blending in as an integral part of the ecosystem.
We connect with these Ethiopian micro-lots through Daye Bensa, who do a multitute of activities to help the small producers; for example, they are working to provide healthcare access, utilities, education and transport infrastructure.
These beans are roasted in-house to produce a coffee with a sweet and fruity mouth-feel and notes of grenadine, red berries, dark chocolate and maple syrup..
Like all our coffee at Duffin’s, it is a Direct and Fair Trade product; we buy it at well above the World Trade and Seasonally Agreed price to ensure that the produces get a guaranteed annual income, regardless of price fluctuations.
