Description
This coffee begins its journey to us from the coffee station in Nyabirongo which is based in the southern end of the Rwenzoris mountain range. The freshly harvested coffee is brought here from smallholder farmers to be carefully processed and prepared for export to the UK. The coffee station is managed by Agri Evolve, a profit-for-purpose organisation that helps the farmers improve their yields, increase their income and improve their overall quality of life. Similarly to all our coffee here at Duffin’s, it is a Direct and Fair Trade product; we buy it at well above the World Trade and Seasonally Agreed price to ensure that the produces get a guaranteed annual income, regardless of price fluctuations.
